Wish we all got a 2 week pay day. This once a month pay is very hard for everyone.

Wonder if we're being taxed more at the once a month rate. Anyone know?

Check online with your state's wage and labor laws. They are listed as to when employees are to be paid.

It is required that employees are paid every 14 days in the state of West Virginia. If you are terminated, all money owed to an employee must be paid out within 72 hours.

The state of CA has a law about getting paid by the 26th of the month for wages earned from the 1st to the 15th.

There is an entire project to 'harmonize' the payrolls between the 2 companies. Pay frequency change was supposed to happen 1/1/12 but, just like pay grade harmonization, it's delayed. Expect monthly payrolls to be biweekly at some point in 2012, likely by 7/1. Pay grades will take a little longer since it's up to the HR folks. They're all too busy cranking out those separation packages.....

Wonder how many employees this has and is affecting? Don't most companies do pay 2x monthly?
