Pawlenty and Romney

Interesting campaign news with Pawlenty becoming Romney's campaign co-chair.

I'm not sure this is a good strategy. Pawlenty has the same marketability issues that Romney does, getting caught up with substance and not being flashy enough or overly motivational. It will be interesting to see where this goes. I prefer substance over those who just want to spout newsworthy one liners, but know it requires a level of excitement or outrage to get people rounded up behind a candidate.

I have two reasons why Pawlenty should not be allowed out of Minnesota:

Paws may be hoping to be the VP candidate should Willard get the nomination.

Maybe. They are a good match on policy approaches but don't do much to complement each others weaknesses and strengths. Sounds like Pawlenty got some of his debt handled by taking the position.

What do they have to do with him? Minnesota is an odd state politically but you can't put all politicians from there in the same bucket.
