that's like asking which you'd rather be stung by a wasp or a scorpion. It's not necessarily the company as much as the localized management and team. Patterson though in large respects is the better company, granted my opinion. I've worked there and competed against them. Largely good company. Like any has its issues, all do.

I've worked for both and can say that Schein is the better company to work for as it has a better overall business plan and the leadership is stronger. There are certainly pockets where the local Patterson branch may be better, but overall, Schein is the much stronger overall company and they treat the sales reps slightly better. However, with that being said, at this point I would look for a third option.
Hmmmm....let’s see.....what is the cheapest price I can get? Quality doesn’t matter....just drill em and fill em. Get them in and get them out. All the producers are on a time limit and they must produce! Scum like this asshole want bigger discounts but want great services. We are not entitled to make an income but cheap asses like Mr Insider and DSO purchaser are entitled. Screw you asshole!
That's how it goes, man. Front line workers and vendors for routine expenses are getting squeezed like lemonade. I'm on your side, but reps everywhere need to reconsider whether what we do is valuable to the customer. We work too hard to lowbrow to some cocky Accounts Payable flunkout that thinks a billion dollar company is a pile of sheet because he can't lowball his way into the middle class. F*ck purchasing.

Good Luck. I came from there and it was good previously. They took that company and ran it down the toilet. One of the owner is terrible and in charge. The other owner is the superstar but in the backseat.
