Patient Advocacy Reps

No, they are put into the mix like the rest of us. That said, they are likely all going to have some pretty high performance reviews and extensive tenure, keep that in mind if you are considering your "competition"

Wanna Bet?
There will not be 1 PA/SCS rep displaced.....

Some might wish they were displaced when they find out who their manager is now. A lot of the SCS reps were once RD's themselves, & I imagine their salaries are a good bit higher than every rep. If Shire was truthful then there tenure will keep them all here.

Funny how shire found a way to get the crappy rd's back to carrying the bag.

How many Pt. Adv Reps do we currently have? Does anyone know which of these reps are being integrated back into the salesforce since there will probably be 10 or more that we will be competing with for our territories.

The new rep role is a hybrid role calling on docs and psychologist. That's what PAR have been doing. Identifying and calling on psychologist. Since they are the ONLY ones in the company who have called on MDs AND Psychologist it only makes since for the ones who become sales reps again to fill a territory!!!??!

It will be Shires loss because the PAS team have proven to be the cream of the crop. Shire would be stupid to lay off good reps. But it could happen you just never know.

Bahahahahaha! Obviously this is a PAR stating his/her case. I will give you credit, the PAR's (well most of them) were very good reps. However, as you were "promoted" into your joke of a position, someone has been out in the field busting their ass to actually bring in revenue!

I thought this was a BS role and a waste of money when this position was "created"!

Out of the 14 Patient Advocacy Reps there will be 1 put back in the Sales Force from the West...whether that is Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles-San Diego, or Denver I won't say...I just know it is a fact that out of those 4 there will be a displaced PAR put back into the sales force

The Salary that you currently make has ZERO to do with who stays/goes. The PA reps took on a new role, if not MOST of them would have still been ranked above the remaining reps in their regions. SCS/PA reps that chose to stay in this BU will either have one of the few PA hybrid roles, or they will fill one of the rep postions. Its plain and simple...Quit with the wishful thinking that they havent been revenue producers, or they have high salaries. They are a different part of the formula...

Seems this person knows what they are talking about!? I have heard SCS reps will fill positions too if they are not one of the 24. And for the asshole on the above post who said they were out there making revenue for the co while the scs were doing nothing, maybe you should educate yourself a little more on the scs role since you don't believe scs were revenue producers seeing how they stepped out and took on this new role for Shire. Maybe you should have done the same thing. They proved they would adapt to change for the company in this ever changing industry. What they were doing is now part of the new role for sales specialist. We will see..............
