Party's over

Time to pack up, kids. No more HepC. CF hangs by a thread on Traffic n Transport. Nothing else close to coming out of our pipeline for new drugs. Anyone else see the fat lady singing? I thought I heard her on the elevator.

Good thing the sublet rental market on the waterfront is so strong -- a law firm or two would love our space. I wonder if we can move back to our old digs in Cambridge and leave most of the VPs behind. Wasn't Josh spot on to head to Fiji on the other side of the world to get away from this imminent implosion?

Ha! The Fat Lady's been singing for a while. Maybe people will listen to her now.

Don't be bitter. Vertex is the best place to work..

Definitely. Nothing but the highest quality leadership and Department managers. But on a serious note, have you ever seen a more clueless group of leaders? Talk about living a fantasy life. As long as the cash is on the balance sheet, the Titanic sails on.

809/770 should be in the 4-5% absolute FEV1 range and if its not good enough, 661 should bump it up a few points in the homozygotes later this year and P3 next. Its only a matter of time and there is no competition.

"matter of time". Hah, what a joke response, you shill. The passengers on the Titanic bobbing in the frigid arctic ocean probably thought it was only a matter of time to be rescued before they went numb and drowned. Leonardo DiCaprio, anyone?

The cash we have will only last so long, so it's not a matter of time -- it's a matter of money. The pending lack of cash is a big iceberg. If you don't have your life jacket on, yet, make sure you know where yours is. And you may want to rent "Titanic" this weekend.

Having been in Boston recently and walked by the front of the building to go to dinner next door, looking inside, it's a sad little place. People have long, sour faces......how the get rich quick schemes don't work out.

It's been a sad place for a while. I used to have fun and liked going to work. No more. Sux. Bring Josh back.

Wait until we get bought..it will be much worse

Won't be worse for Leiden and his team. Did you see the SEC filing the company made on Friday? It lists their employment agreements -- All of them get two year severances and bonuses and stock if Vertex sells out. Sounds like a great incentive for them to sell now.

Yes. They will get richer and we will get 6 weeks severance if were lucky. Best wishes to all

New owners don't have to give any severance. They'll decide who to keep and who to toss out. The leadership team gets their options accelerated to full vesting, but all we get is our vested options as of the date sale closes. The unvested shares are forfeited to the new owner. So -- do your best to join the leadership team cuz that pays best benefits in an acquisition.

The smartest thing a buyer could do is throw out all of the current "leadership"
