Paid Holidays/Sick or Personal Time

Which holidays, or number of days, not including year end shut down, does Novartis give off? How many personal/sick days? Just curious as I’m starting process and this was mentioned but not exact amounts addressed.

if you are hired simply ask hr for a holiday calendar. best of luck to you.

Well obviously. I was inquiring as I’m in the beginning steps of interviewing and as you know, asking such a question during face to face isn’t ideal. For many, time off is a good way to compare similar options. Just curious about sick time and paid holidays. Nothing more.

Only losers ask how many sick days they get. Before then even start a job. This place is performers not slackers.
 




Are you serous? Many lump sick/personal days together. So I guess my real question is how many personal days? Is that better? I’ve used 3 sick days in 8 years. If that’s a slacker..more power to you.
 




We get 12 paid holidays (includes week between Xmas and New Year’s) and 5 personal days, plus your vacation...which I suppose gets determined upon your hiring. Not sure why that’s so hard for people to simply respond to...

right ! It’s a simple question . If you have only used a few sick days it probably won’t matter much to you but sick days are “unlimited” anything over 5 days in a row I believe you have to use short term
Disability . If you are sick you are sick ... perform and it won’t be questioned .
