P4 Contract?????

Anyone know when this contract is going to end, from the threads here its seems early 2011. Recruiter being vague on contract end date, any one have any info?? Thanks

They are obnoxious about a lot of things. They could only hope we are extra work fro them and they don't want to be bothered and mine down right admits it. This is and could have really been a great contract if Pfizer was not so demoralizing to the P4 reps. The contract was already extended a year from when I first started. I guess they will not see much from this contract since we are only allowed to call on foot doctors and the bottom of the barrel no sees. I don't know how it is in everyone else's area but here the Pfizer reps control my list, total bullshit.

My experience has been good. I have a good group of Pfizer reps that I overlap with and a good Pfizer DM. I have had a lot of input into my call list as well. I call on a lot of the top docs in the territory and quite a few specialists. I think it really depends on the district you are in and the DM but they are not all bad.

It absoultey depends on the Pfizer district.

But, the way we were treated at training continues to "haunt" me. Can't bel. how they treated us those two weeks.

no class. but, that is what the industry has come to expect from corrupt Pfizer.

I like my Pfizer team, DSM, etc . . . they're fair and honest with me. What I find funniest, however, is that idiots that work for PSS think they know what's happening at PFE . . . just read Pfizer's P4 CP posts regarding P4 taking over Pristiq b/c PFE shortsighted how effective P4 would be . . . and how PFE reps are now "doubling down" to ensure that they don't get booted for cheaper, co car free, severance free, and liability free P4 representatives.

If you ran PFE, which team would be more attractive to you in today's economic climate? Use your head people . . .

This is exactly why they can't keep or attract good people.Their arrogance is widely known in the industry. They don't give a shit about their people, just the bottom line!!!

Not even so sure they care about the bottom line. Have you seen some of the reps that get promoted? Their bottom line isn't so good. They don't sell so good. But, they get promoted because of they are liked by management.

Pharma sales is not sales. It once was, but no longer is.

Seriously, I cannot wait for this contract to end!
Publicis is a great company, but the Pfizer side is a total mess.

This was easily the worst decision I have ever made, taking this job. It has brought me about ten thousand steps backwards in my career.

And, even though I want to quit, I can't because I need the benefits and the money and the unemployment when the contract is over.

Is anyone with me or am I an idiot?

I agree but it isn't the pfizer side that sucks, it is the publicis! This contract is the LOWEST paying contract I have done in five years. Every other contract that I've worked on has been better pay, better bonus, company car and more days off. They know there are so many great reps without jobs so they are taking advantage of the situation. Publicis wants to get their name in lights and saw pfizer as a way to do it, so they lowballed a price at the reps. expense. Innovex, PDI, Inventive ALL pay better with better benefits.

pp you are crazy...this contract is not that bad. We are paid for what we do and have proven to be effective to Pfizer. I like my job and hope the contract is extended.

Really, what would you look for in the "perfect job"? Seriously, I'd like to know.

How about an organization that at least gives you an accurate "numbers" count?

How about an organization that doesn't lie about the bonus structure?

How about a contract where we can at least call on targets?

I could go on and on, but I won't because Kool Aid lovers like you don't get it.

Sure, its not a bad job if you are a low achiever.

Its not a true sales job.
If it were, we would have more opportunity to make money off of bonus. Maybe you are in a good territory and get paid good bonus, and all is good.

To previous posters--no I'm not a kool-aid drinker just grateful to have a job in this economy where so many reps are out of work (and probably many more including the Pfizer reps with Lipitor ending).

I agree that the TCL's have been a fiasco for most of us and trying to get goals (ha!! emailed Q4 goals on Dec 6th WTF??) and good numbers has been more than frustrating. But with all that said I still am happy working and just learning to be very flexible and go with the flow.

As far as the bonus structure--as most of us have the bottom feeders on our TCL's it would be great if we were bonused on reach and frequency as part of the structure. The Pfizer reps who control the TCL lists have tried to ensure that we don't have much chance at seeing the productive offices. So it would be make sense for Touchpoint to recognize this situation and make R & F part of the tally.

And while I'm at it--I hope that our gas reimbursement will increase soon as the price of gas has outstripped the .14 per mile rate.

it's not pfizer it is pss. trust me on this one. there isn't a person i know that can say one good thing about pss. cheap reps. cheap contracts. low ball everyone in the business. short rides.
