Overtime lawsuit

Stop it! No one has received anything. And nothing comes certified mail. How much would that cost??

The gender discrim. checks came in plain business envelope with return address of law firm. If you aren't looking for it, you might mistake as junk mail so head's up.

Letter came today
For me it was an Opt in that I had to send back
I am in one of the states from 09-12 so I will probably get about $4000 max
I'm certainly not complaining

Above post- how r u calculating? R u in ca or in new York?

No there are 25 states that are in one group where the time is from Jan 2009-Jan 2012
NY and Ca should get much more since their time
period is much longer

If you make over 100K and that includes bonus you get $720 per yr
Less than 100K $1400 per year

The date are in CA March 23,2002 to April 7,2007
In NY March 23, 2000 to April 7,2007
In other state, March 23, 2003 to April 7, 2007 and you filed Consent to Join in Civil Action in 2007 and June 2008.

I wonder how they are defining the 100,000?

Is this after taxes? and does it include Bravo points ? which I notice are always added on to the W2 and the value always seems higher than what I have received.

Also can you count that you worked in CA or NY if you attended training, a sales meeting or were temporarily restructured to NY or CA during the previous restructure/ layoff during the fanapt debacle and were then subsequently restructured back to your original state which was not NY or CA?

I'm in California and just got my letter.

Looks like a ballpark figure....this is according to the letter from the attorney's....if you made less than 100k per year during the complaint period you will get around $8600 for each year worked.

I think this is only for NY and CA employees at this time. I opted in long ago.

They have another court ruling May 31 of this year so don't expect anything until after that.

I got the same letter in NY. Eligible for 4.5 years. Yeah baby

Didn't get chance to opt in-far lower payout!!!

Those who opted into the lawsuit in 2007 are considered part of the Subclass I and will receive about $8700 per year. If you did not opt in (or did not get the chance to), you will receive only about $1440 per year. How many of us were (i) intimidated into not opting in at that time for fear of losing our jobs, and/or (ii) never got the paperwork to opt in? What actions can we take now, because this is a huge difference in payout. How many others were here between 2003 and 2007/2008 and will not get the larger payout?

You are a real idiot and you better figure out your posts.
There are 3 seperate classes-1 for NY and Ca, one for several other states and then the last one is for the 25 states that the poster was talking about.

Each letter that was received today was for the state you lived. If you live in NY or Ca you received 1 letters, if you live in one of the 25 states fro 2009-2012, you got the other letter.
So the poster knew exactly what they were talking about!!

The letter came from Novartis Claims Administrator c/o Rust Consulting. You will get the settlement based upon your state and/or whether you opted in. Looks like NY will get the most, followed by CA, then by those who opted in. Some variation in payouts based upon your state after that. I am wondering how they can "prove" that those who didn't opt in actually were contacted. Those who were here between 2003 and 2007 should have opportunity to opt in now.
