How many of you did NOT know that being a Novartis employee meant that you were going to be paid a salary? For payment of that salary, you are required to do your job. To complete your job, sometimes that means getting done at 3 and sometimes that means doing an expense report at 9pm on a Friday or maybe doing a program at night. That is ALL a part of the GIG. WE ALL KNEW THAT WHEN WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO WIN THE NOVARTIS LOTTERY AND GET HIRED. Any lawsuit looking to acquire overtime pay is MORONIC. It will NOT equal more money for anybody, MOST LIKELY IT WILL MEAN LESS MONEY FOR EVERYBODY. Additionally, you will lose any pretense of freedom. To all you paranoid freaks worried about BIG-BROTHER watching over you.... you can thank these UNION CLOCK PUNCHING MORONS for inviting them in.
 






Maybe we can unionize. International Brotherhood of Pharmaceutical Reps, Local 6969.

If we get too much managment flak, we call up our shop steward, then Vinny and Guido have a friendly chat with your managers to "tell 'em how it's gonna be" Fuggedabout it!

In Oncology we were truly treated as Specialty Reps. Then we were assaulted with ;
Unrealistic goals,
QTQ,
CCI,
managers who insist on calls being made 8 -5 (so much for being done by 3),
5 hour expense reports,
collapsing territories
serial meaningless business plans,
"Sales Force Effectiveness" etc.

So if we are to be treated as wage slaves, then we should also be compensated as such!
