Over/Under on Next Round of Firings

Based on who is left in rheumatology I'd head for the hills. It's a sh $% show. No support for the reps who work. No pipeline. Zero. All old bitter rochies and those who aren't are the old genentech reps who don't work. Good reps and managers are long gone. This isn't the place I joined. I'm dying to leave.

I was laid off in the last round of BOLD. It didn't seem like a good thing but, I am now glad it happen. There are jobs out there and they all seem to pay better. Be patient and pick a good company, if there is such a thing. We all get attached to our companies but, we are nothing but a number

I too was laid-off in March. My numbers weren't the best but, they weren't the worst either. The funny thing is, the rep that got my position says the territory is falling apart fast. The new CS can't see anyone because appts are set up almost a year in advance and the CS has called me for help. The CS told me that he/she is now looking for a new job. I was with Genentech for 10 yrs and thought it was a good place but have found out there are a lot of as good or better places.

Genetech could continue laying off for years! Start with Lytics! The most arrogant, self promoting bunch of d-bags ever. Their little Napoleon RSD in the West needs to have some chick beat him up. Rheumatology has so many people calling on the customers its amazing they have any sales. But, this a franchise who has been spanked by the competition and settled for their single digit market share. Roche has been kind but they are finally figuring out how pathetic Genentech really is. Wait until biosimilars come out in Oncology!!! These customers have long memories and will jump at the chance to screw Gene for their arrogance.

Don't know the exact number but its somewhere in the neighborhood of 40-50 different BioOnc folks from GNE that go into an oncology account. Senior leadership has met and wants to trim that number down to 12-15. This is easily a 75% reduction. So yes its wise to start looking elsewhere if you have at least half a brain.

That’s a pretty BOLD statement.

Realistically at least 40% of sales including function partners will be gone. Account model selling is what Christy wants to stamp her legacy within this industry. There is maybe 60-80 major HSP /account systems to call on and at least 1/2 will cover by one team..

I hear 50% of Her, Bev, Rituxan reps are gone. They will tell you why but, I here salaries are in play. Lower your salary, better your chances of having a job. I hope that isn't true.

Left two years ago making good coin and always felt I had a target on my back because of that. It’s a double edged sworn there if you do well and have good salary bumps bit then you stand out from the rest and feel the animosity of others who aren’t doing as well financially.
