no, actually pharma sales is dead or dying off. Gonna be a lot less reps everywhere before the end of this year.

Same problem here. Finally took a contract job while I keep looking. Labor statistic from last week said that only 20% of the people over the age of 50 that lose their job will get back to what they were making.

Keep hammering away.

Yeah 50 is really old at Abbvie. The whole culture there is youth and partying. An Abbvie meeting is just like being at a frat party. I left Abbott- Abbvie at age 49. I didn't have any trouble going to a more mature company. The ave age of rep where I'm at now is 50. There are no frat party meetings, or gossiping, or rumor spreading about staFf members. When you have a company who's ave age of rep is 26 then you have problems. Good luck out there be choosey where you apply. You won't fit in at Forest either. The ave age of a Forest DM is 32, and the reps are just out of college.

Over 50 got my one year severance and took a commission sales job in the medical field. Would never go back to this type of crap again! Managers, ride alongs, pips, memos, bald headed dorks who think they are hot shit sitting in the passanger side of your fleet car. Strategy meetings, etc etc etc abbvie was good to me but now I have seen what working for your self can be never again back to pharma....whew! I work about 20 hours a week and make about 3/4 of what I was making without all the bs crap conf calls haahahahaha not a chance....team meetings hahahah not a chance. DM one on ones not a chance in fact I dont even have a manager!

That micromanaging dick bald headed manager didn't happen to be from the pacific NW region. We had a bald micromanaging dick here and they promoted him of course!

I know who you're talking about! Yes...dick..is the appropriate word and he's soooooo full of himself! He was a much better trainer than a DM.

Do some weight training. Start with some heavy lifting and then move up.
