Anyone hear anything on out sourcing medical affairs?

Rumor is: as a cost saving measure, parts of Medical Affairs -medical writing, medical information, others, will be "on site - out sourced". Some CRO with extended MA capabilities and has supposedly contracted to hire some of the displaced and "reinstall" as contractors working on site - The timing coincides with the september layoffs rumor .... This is a really dumb idea and so incredibly stupid, it almost, has to be true.

Ok funny and all. But can these dopes be serious? How the "F" do you out source a core part of the business? Med affairs? Really? Are the Swiss really that .... Swiss?

Ok so the new corporate speak term for outsourcing critical business functions is "re-badging" as in " my old ID badge said Novartis and my new one says ... Company XXX" and the employee still parks in the same spot, reports to work at the same building, floor and desk ... The only thing that changes is the name on the badge ..." Rebadging " ... It's a much nicer term than "bufu'd" ... But it means the same.
