our CMO is from Genentech

Not a bad background. But I am little confused. I saw Novartis folks in the office yesterday, and now this CMO news. Not sure what to think now.

You are so full of shit. That would be like JJ taking a shit at a display toilet in home depot. Everyone would know about it. If they are even talking about a deal it would be in a private location, where you wouldn't even be able to smell it.

must be a display toilet made out of gold.....ahahhahaha. Listen up chooochooo, of course no yb hacks are privileged to inner office discussion on the bloodletting and issues under the cabinet and war chests. This dope from Genentech.....( a company where it was decimated by SA is not big fair prize for the biggest watermelon or giant pumpkin contest. Who cares you fools act like Gen. is some top 2 pharma company, are you high" how many of you actually have worked a day in this biz...how many, 1 or zero is my guess. Why the cheerleaders for a Gen. cast off who is now at SAvient, a stepping stone down???????

YOu people try so hard to find any little angle to pump up your debacle here yet often times what you are pumping is nothing to pump and quite frankly not something I would even want spinner into a kool aid pumping campaign. Who was the guy who pumped that this CSO is some golden grab? get real db, if anyone with talent and exp. is sitting out their from the layoffs of Genentech, they might have had no other choice but to take a quick stop gab at Savient......

has reality ever crossed your pea brain? Apparently not! This means nothing! Except that no sales is happening at this place, which is bad news for you clowns who are living in lala land thinking a big merger and acq. is in the wings were you are going to get some buku dollars on your investment, not GOING HAPPEN....how much longer do you need to be told that. have fun ridding out the 6-8 range for the next 24 months.....what a sad sack this place is.

You do realize that if DNA or other large company buys you, they will likely already have a rheum salesforce in place and one of the two groups will simply disappear? Be careful what you ask for.

believe it or not, genentech has 2 rheumatology salesforces in place. But before you start connecting the dots on the CMO, he was from Roche, went to Gene when the companies merged and moved across the country from NJ to CA as they combined the home offices. The job at SVNT was a ticket back to NJ.
Genentech has a pipeline of its own, I'd love to hear someone make a case for why that company would look to acquire savient/krystexxa

Gene. would have no reason to buy this company. Krystexxa is not and never will be a flag ship drug. this drug would be considered a fifth starter in a pitching rotation. it is for patients with no other options. every two weeks, too many reactions and two hours in the infusion chair. Company should have been sold before launch to a company that had a solid number one product. Why would you have an orphan drug as a flagship product. You can't force people to develop refractory gout. However, upper management will push for higher sales that surpass the demographics. This will be over in 6 months, unless JJ is bringing in another product.

CMO is a joke.

The problem with Savient is the same problem when Lou and John were at OBI. They are very political, liars, not smart and asses.

The Imclone folks are not top tier and ran with John before Lilly let them go. None have much experience. Christine Mikhail is a skirt that John likes who had little experience before he made her general counsel and now she is head of business development. Doesn't this remind you of other incompetent women at Savient that are kept around to look at.

This stock will sell for $5 (at most) if they can find a buyer. The problem is that all previous buyers would ahve considered $20/share so they have no credibility with their management.
