Ortho Device vs Dental

Would you recommend leaving orthopedic device sales for a dental device sales position. It seems as if the golden days of ortho are gone. There is something to be said for a nice base and benefits. Not too mention the hours. Looking for the devils advocate here. Why should I stay in ortho?

Never worked ortho, so I can't comment, but I've had a couple of friends/co-workers to the dental gig.

It really depends on what you're looking for. My opinion of the dental gig is very similar to a pharma job. Base, benefits and pretty low stress along with an overall low income job (70k-110k) when compared to a traditional medical device job. I've had friends comment that the toughest part of their day was deciding where to go for lunch, they could golf daily if they wanted to and this may be what you want. Again, this is just my opinion from what I've heard.
