Opportunity questions

I have read a number of posts here on Zoll and the LV. I have just begun the process to look at an opportunity for what's considered an expansion territory. It sounds like I need to steer clear and I probably will. But can someone tell me all the ancillary things.....car allowance amount, tech package, etc? Also, I understand managed care is a significant issue. I was told that managed care coverage was actually really good....was that BS? Is it more because the deductibles nowadays are crazy high or do the majority of managed care groups not cover it? Are some areas of the country better than others? Lastly, can you put the initials of the managers that are decent? I know who the manager of my area is and just hoping someone mentions their initials as a good manager. Thanks for any info guys.

40% annual turnover. Please just stop and think about that for a second. Does anything else really matter?

You are such an idiot. Please don't come work here. Your manager will be "good" if you perform. I can already tell that you won't. You are a whiny, baby - you will get eaten alive. You want to know about tech package and car allowance- ask the damn recruiter you fool

Wait, I'm the idiot for asking those questions, yet you're the one STILL working there?? Riiiiight.... Go FY.

Probably posted by one of the arrogant managers that wants his daiichi buddy to get the job over you. It's a buddy network over here and it exactly why it is failing so bad. These idiots are clueless and managers lead by fear which never works in the long run.

if you honestly care for your career, i highly recommend that you look else where. if an expansion territory, you best have a clear understanding of its volume potential. REAL potential, not what the hiring manager will tell you. Talk to doctors, hospitals and reps that previously covered the areas. They are making these territories so small and keep TMs in tier 1 with no chance to grow to a T3 to make money. There is no company in this country that honestly cares less about their TMs. A previous ZOll leader once said, "a monkey can sell this device!" Whats that tell you?

ask a million questions! inquire about the benefits. limited 401k matching with vesting at the 5 year mark. don't let them generalize everything and convince you of potential. Good luck!

Actually, it is a SIX year vesting schedule. That means that less that 1% of TMs get their 401k match. This is by design. It is so Zoll can claim to offer 401k match benefits without having to pay them.

It is illustrative of the many the bait and switch strategies used at this company. They tell you during an interview that you only need ONE new order per 2 weeks to make goal. They fail to tell you that you need one PAYING order per 2 weeks, and that it takes approximately FOUR new orders per 2 weeks to get PAID on one. They fail to tell you that even if you beat those odds, they'll raise your goal at the end of the year to meet you where you are .. so the better you do, the higher the goal until you break and quit or they put you on a plan. (Occasionally plans are re-lowered a year later, it is a crapshoot. Even then, you've made no money for a year.) This is why most TMs are gone in less than 2 years.

They fail to tell you that they are going to split your territory over and over AND expect the EXACT SAME GROWTH rate. Make any sense at all? And no one knows to ask this ... because who in their right mind would expect any company to operate this way?

They don't tell you that people making 1/4 as much as you will control how much product you have and other sundry (but critical) things. They also don't tell you that while discharging decisions are made on an hourly basis, Zoll maintains an archaic 24-hour guarantee. I've literally been laughed out of the room by administrators when they hear this.

I could write a dissertation, but what's the point. Anyone who checks this site has everything they need to know to stay away from this company!

first, there are many middle management reps that enjoy getting online and try to call out those with vulgarity that post truths about the organization. overlook that aspect. however, unless you are unemployed, i would highly recommend that you avoid this company. you can make decent money for a year or two. I would definitely be weary of an expansion territory. the company is limiting market space to keep TMs in a Tier 1 and not make money and will terminate you in 2 years. only folks that are protected are the managers. period. one of your AVPs is on a role disrupting families by firing many top performing reps. he's been exposed and now its his mission to get rid of people. be careful. read everything. grass is brown on this side of the fence. Beware

I'm assuming you meant "wary" and not "weary" you idiot!

A touch of disdain is likely because the field force is only a temporarily relevant bunch of schmucks who could never cut it in house. What a joke? Oh I'm sorry, your wife is a nurse?! Oh maybe your manager should kiss your hiney!! You are WORTHLESS!! Soon to be replaced by a formulary and a shoe salesman (for fitting of course) ...
