Open Oncology positions

I have seen a few spots open in the east for GSK oncology. Can anybody tell me about the culture in the oncology business unit? Rumor out in the world is that the ship is not sailing so smoothly. Can anyone tell me about the strategic account role specifically? Thank you.

Don’t bother. It’ll be sold off within a couple years. Trash pipeline tbh. VBU, OBU, respiratory, ViiV all have poor outlook at this time

Way too many field people to call on customers, especially with current underwhelming products and dismal pipeline.

If you interview, ask about attrition. Regardless where in oncology (commercial, development, etc), so many have left in 2021.

The position you are referring to is just okay. NY as you probably know is a no see market mostly and considering our products suck no one wants to see us anyway. Leadership on that team was and to some extent is still terrible. Honestly it’s just another group of people calling on already saturated hospitals. They have a new director In the East for that team. She has got to be better than the last guy who was in charge. He was a complete con artist with no oncology skills or experience.

ummm… I guess that is answer. So I guess the rumors are also true that GSK oncology is full of under achieving losers and that all the good talent left. Just made this decision very easy. Have fun on the bread line when GSK oncology fails.

Wouldn’t be unexpected, the CEO has a background in cosmetics with L’Oréal. Treats all the business like it’s OTC at Walgreens.

What a well-deserved embarrassment for the "powerful woman" narrative it would be if she got canned. I'm sure she would land on her feet. There's a lot of money to be made in the grievance industry.

oh man…. Another industry insider with all the juice. I see a post like this once in a while. They can’t afford to sell it. The effect on street confidence will plummet the stock price. Also who would buy us. The pipeline is absolute garbage with multiple failures in our phase 2 drugs. Zejula is a middle of the road drug with no upside and forget bela that ship sunk as it came out of the port. I can’t see one reason anyone would be silly enough to buy this sinking ship. It would be nice to see leadership squirm however.
