Step out of the trees. As the saying goes "You cannot see the forest for the trees".

Please consider a few things:

1. You may be running a "global" company, but your bread and butter comes from the US
2. You are the CEO of this company and you need to lead it. Stand up to the UK.
3. This is a $1.2 billion (again: billion), 1-product company. It's success in unit sales and in market share is coming from 185 US CLs. You cannot afford to lose them. You cannot lose those vital to our Richmond office.
4. You cannot continue to build the "global" company at the expense of your US team. Taking our revenues and investing in the global company is killing us. You are stripping the US team of talent and asking them for more
5. Saying that YOUR out-of-the-gate unattainable goals were not met and below unacceptable is offensive to the entire team
6. The morale of your US team (Richmond, Ft Collins, field) is lower than low. Are you aware? Who is advising you? Do you care?
7. 4 quarters in 2012 of not meeting plan. Not meeting 2012 plan. Minimal/no SIP payouts. No year-end bonus payout. YOU created these unreasonable expectations. Where is your ownership? Is this reasonable management on your part? Who is managing who? Its time you stand up.
8. No bonus leads to little/no motivation. Look around. Your team is at a motivational low.
9. Where are our new products? Are you managing that too?
10. Emperor, are you naked and no one will tell you?

Shaun, lead this company. YOU ARE NAKED.
 
























Regarding #2: How can Shaun stand up to the UK, when RBP is the UK? Check the passports of most of the management, including the new guy. There's no question where the loyalty is.

As of 2010 it is fact that:

Shaun earns $997,000 USD in salary alone. Then a 40% bonus with up to a 4x multiplier.

Tim Baxter earns $365,000 USD in annual salary, then 40% bonus with up to a 4x multiplier.

Rolley E Johnson earns $265,000 in salary, 30% bonus with up to a 4x multiplier.

The rest of us ....Salary alone

Lets not forget the ridiculous expense accounts of Rick Powers, the Field Medical Advisors expenses, Ed Johnsons Facualt Summits, and the managed markets team meeting at Disney World in 2011. Salary may be warranted on production…. 10 years in business and still no new product?

Their bonus is approved from the board of directors of RB as a whole in the UK. In order for them to get their bonus they need to make sure the Directors at RB in the UK are happy with their annual revenues, or their job is on the line. If RB Pharma went global and spent millions on hiring a few idiots who need up to 3 admins or multiple sales reps for a portfolio that is still in the negative numbers therefore mooching off of the US revenues for Pharma. The US sales support the European and Chinese markets. Therefore your bonus is going towards First class tickets for Shaun and Tim to go to the UK. If anyone is upset you should ask them how their 10,000 flights were, how the sales team in Europe is spending boatloads on entertaining clients and so forth. Why did I mention salaries? Would you take a pay cut? How are you new office upgrades? If you want bonuses, proper management, and a future RB Pharmaceuticals is NOT the place for you. It is a great place if you are a blood sucking European executive, or their “crew”…. Until then my guinea pig colleagues…

Can you imagine making over $1 million a year to plan flamenco dancers and scary clowns on stilts? Is this what the insurers of our opioid dependent patients deserve?

This is a brilliant idea. I think that Shaun probably doesn't even know we all feel this way. Like the first post said, nobody close to him will tell him the truth. He has to know the truth. Whether he cares once he knows is a different matter.
