Step out of the trees. As the saying goes "You cannot see the forest for the trees".
Please consider a few things:
1. You may be running a "global" company, but your bread and butter comes from the US
2. You are the CEO of this company and you need to lead it. Stand up to the UK.
3. This is a $1.2 billion (again: billion), 1-product company. It's success in unit sales and in market share is coming from 185 US CLs. You cannot afford to lose them. You cannot lose those vital to our Richmond office.
4. You cannot continue to build the "global" company at the expense of your US team. Taking our revenues and investing in the global company is killing us. You are stripping the US team of talent and asking them for more
5. Saying that YOUR out-of-the-gate unattainable goals were not met and below unacceptable is offensive to the entire team
6. The morale of your US team (Richmond, Ft Collins, field) is lower than low. Are you aware? Who is advising you? Do you care?
7. 4 quarters in 2012 of not meeting plan. Not meeting 2012 plan. Minimal/no SIP payouts. No year-end bonus payout. YOU created these unreasonable expectations. Where is your ownership? Is this reasonable management on your part? Who is managing who? Its time you stand up.
8. No bonus leads to little/no motivation. Look around. Your team is at a motivational low.
9. Where are our new products? Are you managing that too?
10. Emperor, are you naked and no one will tell you?
