Ole Night Train is back? Where have you been Hairy? I knew the haters would show up at some point. Right now you don't need to hating because you got Sparty to deal with this week. After barely beating a poor Michigan team I think Sparty is going to give Ohio State all it can handle and then some.
There's no doubt about it....Sparty is quite capable of beating the Buckeyes. Ohio State needs to win....and win for one reasn only. To shut the SEC out of the title game.
Now for my editorial. Nick Saban can take his 4 million dollar per annum and donate it to charity. He blew the game...plain and simple.
4th and 1....6 minutes to go...on Auburn's 13 yard line. up 7. He eschew's a chip shot...which basically locks the game down. He's an idiot.
And spare me the "well, he missed twice"...the guy was 11 out of 12 going into that game. He will not miss that kick...in a hundred years from the 20 yard line.
They should melt Nick's statue and take it down to the scrap yard.
As for his postgame comment about "I've never seen a game end that way". Well, it happens...a lot on field goals that are short. A couple year go I saw Devon Hester do it at the Meadowlands against the Giants. Think about it. A field goal unit has a 150 lb kicker...a 150 lb. holder..and 9 fat slobs blocking for the kick. To me....a short kick should be returned for a touchdown every time. Throw the ball in the end zone and pray for a Auburn/Georgia to happen.
I love me some Hairy, but to be persona non grata all season, then come out of the woodwork to blast Alabama and the SEC is.....well, I can't come up with a word. Some are too harsh, others too nice.
When FSU tears Urban and Ohio State a new asshole, I will be happy.
And that's coming from a Semenhole hater.
There were definitely some coaching mistakes in this game.
I agree with you about taking the chip shot. Always take the points in a close game. Just look at the Michigan Vs. Ohio State game? Why in the hell did Hoke try to go for the extra point when he could have just sent the game into over time?
I can't believe BAMA tried to win the game on the foot of a red shirt Freshmen kicker? I agree put the ball up and see if you can make something happen. Hell call a run play..
We aren't ready to send Saban packing anytime soon. 3 National Championships during the last 4 years? BAMA has had success other schools would love to have (including Ohio State).
Some of the greatest coaches-Bear Bryant, Woody Hayes and Bo Schembeckler called some bad plays during the course of their careers as well.
