Oncology Leveling

What is "oncology leveling"? Some collectivist BS that MS and BC devised??

Yeah, bringing in outside talent and assigning them higher levels than those who endured "the blood sweat and tears"..... tons of us just waiting for the right opportunity to leave...retaining the bonus dollars will prove to be the worse mistake ever....

no outside talent is going to teva, maybe unemployed and desperate. good luck I hear BMS is hiring in the Midwest

10:59 am post? Who is not working?

I know a rep that works for your company. She doesn't work sometimes for several months at a time. When she does work it is with her manager once every two months. She claims there are no minimum call requirements for the reps. How could a person like this have any impact on business? She claims her numbers are very good. Cephalon could save $150 grand and eliminate the territory and certainly get the same sales numbers. What a joke of a job.

I'm relatively new to Oncology. My sister and a number of her friends have been Oncology reps for many years. She works for Celgene and has another friend who sells the prostate cancer drug for J&J. They are highly compensated in both situations. She has made close to double our bonus target for the last 3 years and they don't hold money back, she receives stock options each quarter just for being an employee. Her friend does very well at J&J, she doesn't receive options but the bonuses are very good and they don't hold any money back.
I feel lucky to have made it into this division. I have learned that with a few exceptions it's very hard to land a job in Oncology and they seem to favor us newer reps over the experienced ones which I've heard is quite rare, so for now this is great, in a couple of years there will be much better opportunities to shoot for- biotech or even the larger big pharma Oncology divisions will most likely have more to offer..so quit your bitching and take advantage of the situation.

The industry needs people like you out......putting stuff like this out there which is obviously false, doesn't help anyone. We can blame people like you for lower bonuses. Many real Oncology companies do not have call requirements..you are obviously big pharma with little or no Oncology experience with a shitty dispostion
