Have an upcoming interview for the expansion of the oncology division, 7 years experience in the oncology market, could someone please seriously comment on items such as:

Salary
Bonus
401k contribution
Territory size
Car (allowance or company)

Thanks in advance

Very strange "interview" process so far I must say. West coast RD coming from company with no oncology. :(

Oh oh that spells trouble. Seen that happen before. If you don't have management experience in Oncology you truly won't understand how reps work and vice versa. When micromanageers come into mix from big pharma there is a tremendous disconnect.

When will some companies realize you just can't plug in any big pharma monkey manager in Oncology.

I meant to say the west rd is coming from within Gilead on another side, but no Onc experience. Not good.

That means they will probably have a mixture of internal reps and outside reps being hired.
I've seen disasters like this from a few companies and total train wreck. Thought Gilead would be smarter.
They don't have the best drug in class now they bringing reps/managers with no experience in oncology my gosh.

The people who will be hired out west will regret the primary care monkey management style.
Good Luck

40% of the "oncology" sales force to be filled by HIV sales force
Lots of DMs from Genentech
Base salaries: $160K-$180K
RSUs: 4,000 units
Awesome opportunity!

If it is true that 40% of the "oncology" sales force will be filled by HIV sales force with no onc experience or relationships, Gilead's launch is already doomed. They are going up against Pharmacyclics that only hired reps with 6+ years oncology/hematology experience. They are going to need all the experience and access they can get and inexperienced reps won't even be able to get on appointment books for next year let alone leverage any relationships.
