Oncology Field Expectations

I’m wondering ppl’s thoughts on the new “field expectations,” i.e. 5 days in field, “x” number of HCPs calls per day, cross-collaboration w/Medical and other internal and external partners, Development, etc.

Do you feel like they are taking into consideration all the admin work involved with our roles? Such as:

  • LMS Training, CIA Training
  • ACE Training
  • EASE Training
  • BOC Training
  • ACTO Training
  • Textbook Program admin
  • Intensify Oncology Workshops and prep
  • Working on Speaker Programs, Exhibits, etc
  • Performance Appraisals and MDP
  • Business Plans
  • Analysis of I-Focus and Call Planning
  • Time spent on Region roles (CFT, Tech Champ, etc)
  • Region and Area calls
  • BU/Commercial Calls
  • Compliance Calls
  • Fleet Training/Tests
  • Vendor Access Requirements
  • Other admin tasks
Many of these admin tasks require us to be in our offices. No mention of “half-day Fridays” which the company uses to recruit/attract outside candidates. What is your understanding of when we are to work on the admin tasks? What direction have you received from your managers, if any? How do you feel about the expectations/metrics? Do you feel like the culture in Oncology is a good one? Do you feel like it’s changed since things started to be run globally? I would love to hear people’s thoughts.
