Oncology expansion

hi. I have an interview this week in the ONC division/rare disease. Trying to weed through this site to see if anyone can give their honest opinion without just being totally nasty. I like the products but wanted to see how the employee moral is and check to see if Novartis is treating their ONC reps like primary care yet? From what I can tell Novartis seems to have good therapeutics and a good pipeline. Do you feel this opportunity is worth chasing or are you sorry you are here now and looking for a move yourself and why? I know this site tends to lure disgruntled unhappy people but every once in a while I see some good honest feedback. Thank you for your professional opinion and time.

Go Red Sox

Ok so the nasty is expected. Ride alongs are not a deterrent. Whatever. I go to. Work everyday. Jump in. So let me ask. Is the business unit fair? Products respected and used? Goals attainable. If not why? Call points reasonable?

Thanks

Obviously written by the worthless manager who loves ride alongs, insists his rep take him out to dinner, and makes the 3 days hell. No other sales job requires babysitting like pharma

ok so anybody a rep at Novartis oncology with an opinion? Managers can make or break a rep and district. Understood. I have had many mangers come and go but since I do my job, and yes I work for a living, it's hard to deny that I am doing what is asked and hitting goals. And if there is a scenerio where I am below goal I can speak to why and it isn't a grandeur of illusion like some may say. I would appreciate your serious responses. Thanks

It's totally primary care of the old days, you will have at least 10 other Novartis reps to compete with in addition to your competitors. It's sad, it could be good here but moral is horrible. Ask them to tell you how they figure goals, they won't be able to tell you it's so complicated

Ok I will ask. How often have you hit your goals? In my career I have missed goal once over 14 years. What is target annual bonus? Of course there are going to be other reps. It is crazy that people complain so much about ride alongs and other reps in their division/company having same call points. That isn't a deterrent. Part of the way it is actually. When you say it's like old school primary care what do you even mean. Is it not account management rather than Calls per day?

Had my interview Thursday. I liked what I saw. Good products. Good pipeline. Nice manager. Seemed real. What kind of bonus target do you have and any other perks that set you apart?
