Ok what is the REAL DEAL on salaries?

Reading the couple of entries on this board, the range seems to go from $45K to some saying a $75K base?? That seems odd, doesn't it? Pretty big range For animal health, and Merial in particular, what is the starting base for someone starting out? Someone told me that the salary is more in your base then in commissions but I have no idea what kind of numbers those are. I do know you get a car, phone, laptop etc.

Well that is the question of the day! We have reps who have been here longer than 6 years or more and are making the same as the reps just getting hired. Merial thinks we don't talk salary with each other.......surprise, we all know that there is no equality with money in this company. So to answer your question, the range is about 45K-85K for someone starting, depending on what they feel like giving you that day. They could care less about you after you sign on so you better negotiate good from the start or divert like crazy to make so more $$$$$$.......OOPS I forgot, make sure you are one of the chosen ones so you are allowed to divert to make the extra K. Good luck.

There are some reps making in the $100K+range. Who is making $45k?
 












selling product to accounts you know divert it to PetMedExpress or other online pharmacies.

allowed for some and preached that we don't do it. just not possible with the numbers out there.
