OK here's what happens now

Acquisition of a product or company is not possible. All investment and promotion of Trex and Silenor will end. 50% of sales force and 20% of home office will be laid off to make the cash infusion last longer. Why? So Sedor and Meow can continue as long as possible making big salaries, bogus "living expenses", flying around in first class. They (nor anyone else) will not make any money on equity but they will keep levering up the debt and extending their gravy train as long as possible. Then, at some point (my guess Q318) no one will lend us any more money, we'll be unable to make payroll, and bankruptcy will ensue. This is their last stop...when the teat is dry they will retire and we'll (maybe) have 2 weeks severance.

there's another possibility: another company will make a bid for ZER. Will be a lowball...as we know this is a sh**ty market. Then Sedor and Meow will decide whether a small immediate windfall on their options outweighs the longer term milking of their big salaries. Result is the same for everyone else...the bid will only come from a company with an existing pain portfolio so they won't keep anyone.

I was one of the many laid off last July. Still following and cheering you on. Would love to see the stock do something bc I'm still somewhat invested. But I can't help but agree with statements made in this thread. It's not looking great and they only have 1 real product after Silenor and treximet go generic. Zohydro was far too ambitious in a heavily scrutinized market. It coupd be a great drug years from now but Doug gambled and lost, we all lost. I'll agree that there are unique factors at stake that make zohydro a potential acquisition but it doesn't help y'all one bit in the end, bc you will still be left with nothing. Those of us laid off last year really got the best deal out of all of this no matter how much it sucked at the time, we still got a decent severance...i am afraid you all won't get that.

I was part of the layoffs and I'm not rooting for Pernix to succeed. Bad companies "pushing" bad options for patients need to be shut down. I realize in spite of my best intent, I was still helping a company push an opioid during an opioid epidemic! Pernix cares about $ not patients. It's sickening. Their legal department didn't seem to have a problem with one of their reps posting bs putting the blame for the epidemic on others. They should have told her to shut up and not make the blatantly biased comments on a public forum while she works for a company promoting opioids! Pernix has kept some aholes as managers, and I hope they too are looking for jobs in the near future. Pernix should be ashamed of itself.
