Just wondering how it's playing in C'Bus? You know that in Ann Arbor and Metro Detroit they are loving this. Tressel didn't come out of this looking very good.
The Ohio State does not cover up NCAA violations!! Good luck to Sweater Vest he is going to need it. I think old Hairy might enjoy reading this blog:

I find it very interesting that the teams that finished in the top 3 Auburn, Oregon and Ohio State are under NCAA investigation...Duh! Winning!
Comon dude. You really can't defend Tressel on this. He's a wiseguy from Youngstown. That's clear. He had a lot of people fooled, but not anymore.First of all Bama Boy...you of all people should be very, very careful at who you cast stones at. You don't want me to go through the litany of bullshit that Saban did, do you?
For starters, only a handful of schools circumvent the integrity of the game by stockpiling so called "medical redshirts". The biggest offender....why that would be Alabama. BTW....Not one school from the Big 10 practices such nonsense...but in the lalala land of the SEC....anything goes....including defaulting on contracts half way through seasons...
As for Tressel's transgressions....he violated one of the gestapo's (NCAA) holy rules by not coming forward. He has admitted as such...unlike 99% of college coaches who would have denied, denied, denied, then hired lawyers and filed law suits.
As to the offense itself....who in the fuck does the NCAA think they are anyway? They don't allow student athletes the free market ability to market their worth at what the market bears. And then they have the nuts to tell these dirt poor students what they can and what they cannot peddle OF THEIR OWN PERSONAL PROPERTY.
And for the record...if this was any school other than Ohio State, I would respond in the exact same fashion.

If the college kids want to make big bucks right out of high school then they should fucken practice harder so they can go directly to the pros like Kobe did. Otherwise, just like a doc who just graduated from med school who's forced to work like a slave during an internship and residency - you have to climb the ladder of success. College is for education. These fucken athlete brats are getting $70k - $200k of FREE EDUCATION AND FREE ROOM AND BOARD for their athletic ability for 4 years. If that's not enough to satisfy them - fuck 'em. How many others students get a full ride all expenses paid? VERY FEW. If they want to sell their shit-stained underwear for cash they can wait until they graduate and put it on E-bay. It gives them an incentive to work hard on the ball field in college and become a superstar so that their shit-stained underwear will render a handsome price. College was NEVER a place to get rich. Don't like it? Go wash dishes @ a sports bar.
You don't understand the rules there doc. No athlete...in any pro sport (except maybe golf and tennis) can go directly to the pros. These are NCAA mandated governance...that is why the "free market" system does not apply for them.
Do you have any idea how much money the football slaves make the University? The pittance renumeration of a college education (at University "cost" I might add) hardly resembles an American principle of being able to sell your talents for what it's worth....or what the market will bear.
Read up and learn.
A doctor doesn't make money until after he's completed 8 years of college, an internship and a year or two in residency. Is that unfair too???
I liked your rebuttal...until you posted this nonsense. Yeah...like I'm sure the free market will support Doc Jones after one year of med school.
As for student athletes.....do you want me to post links what major college football programs pull down per year?
It's no different than going to the cock fights...whereby the gamblers make their coin...and the cocks...well...they don't deserve shit anyway, right?
The players provide the entertainment...and the coaches and the execs make all the money.
Tell you what...google up the salaries of the top brass of the NCAA....then get back to me sweet cheeks.
