Ohh! Now I understand the re-badging concept!

I was so confused by all this re-badging talk but now I get it.

Once:

Merck was one of the, if not the top, most respected and admired companies in the world. It's name transcended the pharamceutical world and made it one of the most desirable places to work. When you told people you worked for Merck, you held you head high and watched as people's eyes lit up and sighed how they wish they could work there.


Now:

Merck is just another typical pharma company hiding bad safety data, fat-cat salaries for underperforming executives who laugh and figure the other guy will work harder so I don't have to, and the outsourcing to the cheapest bidder- quality not an factor, and ignoring employee loyalty.


Merck has been rebadged!!

That's no SHIT...Merck has been plundering and replundering the salesforce before the SP merger and is doing everything to minimize the real salesmen now! These useless S3 Yesmen and asskissers who've never been leaders before and now are appointed rather than earning the positions really have destroyed Merck! Many of those making decisions of the S3's were idiots who came over from Schering who'd never earned anything either! With the class of Merck leadership on board and annointed now we'll never again be #1 and we'll continue to smell like '#2'!

How about 2 separate reps who were Customer reps promoted to S-3 and S-2 respectively. Nice jump in pay wouldn't you say? Normally that would take 5-8 years. Now both are impossible to live with...and incredibly average on top of it. Nice job Merck...that certainly doesn't demoralize the rest of us who should have been senior execs, but for the freeze in promotions.

I agree there are many S1's that should be promoted, yet the types who do get promoted are the ass-kissing types listed in my first post. I wish you lusk but if it didn't happen last year, it probably won't this year either...
