I was so confused by all this re-badging talk but now I get it.
Once:
Merck was one of the, if not the top, most respected and admired companies in the world. It's name transcended the pharamceutical world and made it one of the most desirable places to work. When you told people you worked for Merck, you held you head high and watched as people's eyes lit up and sighed how they wish they could work there.
Now:
Merck is just another typical pharma company hiding bad safety data, fat-cat salaries for underperforming executives who laugh and figure the other guy will work harder so I don't have to, and the outsourcing to the cheapest bidder- quality not an factor, and ignoring employee loyalty.
Merck has been rebadged!!
