Oh well, Merck was a good contract...

Merck just can't resist screwing around with something that was working well. Now they are pushing us to do the same old things that got most of the office restrictions placed on reps in the first place, even while other companies have been wising up. The way it is going, they are working toward having us do more and more while still paying for half a rep and no benefits. That must sound wonderful to Merck but it won't last. Was a good flex job for the first 18 months. With the job market the way it is I guess they think they have us over a barrell and they are going to take advantage of it.

When was the last time you heard the phrase "selling chocolate to chocolate lovers"?

I agree they want us to sell a product that 3 FULL TIME reps with Budgets could not sell they had access we are only 1 and we have NO MONEY!!!

CSO's always get the dog products. It's more cost effective to source it out and give the CSO a bonus "if" they hit the goal. It's a win win for the MFG and CSO but the reps are the ones to get punished over it.

WTF are you talking about?

NOT original poster....BUT I know what she meant when she said "Sell Chocolate to Chocolate lovers" if you don't you have not been here since the beginning.... When This contract started..."They told us we would be selling chocolate to chocolate lovers"....In other words easy sell only calling on docs. that LOVE the product or have at least written. BUT that was the original premise for the 1 1/2 yr contract. Which was renewed for another 2 years at that point the contract and the job changed....New products added others ended that is contract sales. I agree it was better in the beginning BUT I still LOVE and need this great flex time. So I will sell what is in my bag to the best of my ability it could be worse....

You try to knock down the tasks and then before you know it, there's another round of bull$hit to put up with. Asmanex verbal certs?!? WTF...I've been selling the damn thing for over a year! Annual PVA certs, I can understand. But this?!? F U PSS!!!
