To answer the thread topic - it’s because the BoD is full of idiots. Michel doesn’t pay himself. Any of us would take $18 million if there were someone stupid enough to pay it. I agree that Michel isn’t worth $18k, much less $18mm, but the BoD who pay him are the true dumb fucks in this equation.
 








He is the heart and soul of Biogen. Come on man it’s not like he beats his wife and holds super spreader events ! He is a one in a life time visionary. Shoulda been paid billions for his commitment to excellence, transparency and diversity.
