This is so insane. HSS's taking promotions to DSM,CAS and Training because they see it as an opportunity and or escape out of being in the field and looking customers in the eye.
I am embarrassed for these people as they gave up their souls but remain as helpless as the rest of us to change the path we are heading down. I applaud CC for leaving but someone on his team will jump on the chance to get the DSM job and why not. Can it be more idiotic then staying as an HSS.
Big bonuses coming soon. Now with increased voice on the HSS team and the the strategic integration of the OSS sales force we are on the cusp of a tsunami of sales. with all our new resources we are certain to beat the goal.

Anyway, lets all continue to pretend the emperor is wearing clothes, take promotions and pretend this uncapped bonus will actually offer us any sort of bonus. Stay positive and just look at your old sales numbers and pretend they are from current day. See you in Dallas and look forward to hearing how everything is moving in the right direction

$71 million in sales, if you take away the 2 and 1/2 times price increase, your sales were less than before, it is really heading in wrong direction regardless of how many sales people you hire. Good luck.
 






While on the conf call Did mark T discuss how is going to help get the sales back in the St Louis accounts Ghost town it is. Remember his grocery store comment how he sees the local hospital CEO all the time. Guess he has learned seeing in not equal to accomplishing.
Didnt he already try bulking up the sales force for Xartawhatamess. Hire and fire and hire again to then decide to not really promote Xartawhatmess.. What a sweet strategy. Thats what a top tier pharma company does minus the hire and fire and hire again part. Now we hire for Ofirmev, expand to OSS and fire by xmas as we realize the sales force were the wrong hires and top heavy on number of HSS.
Cant wait until we launch the hydro,apap product. great thing is it is first of its kind and by maximizing the apap portion with 325 we can stick to our non-opioid foundation discussion with prn for opioids. Not! Remember opioids only have bad side effects in the hospital. Once they are discharged remove apap as the foundation and make opioids the foundation with a sniff of apap. Opioids are safe if you are lucky, arent an addict, your kids dont steal them from your medicine chest, you arent elderly, dont use with alcohol, dont puke, dont stop breathing, get constipated and dont get dazed and confused.

Mallinckrodt now could never launch a brand new product under their name as they now have permanently tarnished their reputation and their name with the dramatic price increase. No one is stupid here. Sales have flattened and the idea of that kind of growth is impossible. Ofirmev will eventually do better, but literally will have to now do this under a different company name where the name Mallinckrodt is lost. Until that happens, The name Mallinckrodt is synonymous with dirt.

I was told since we hired more people along with magic beans the sales will increase. How else can you expect qtr over qtr growth rates equal to 2011 when sales are going down.
Keep hiring new HSS's and DSM's and you will get new believers for half a year or so.

Remember to water those beans once a week.

You take away the field force's company cars. That will offset the lack of sales growth on the bottom line. Piece of cake.
