Official Premarin Communication Thread

Hey everyone,

Let's use this as the "official" Premarin communication thread where we can ask and answer questions.

I have a few:

1. If we can't complete our job in 28 hours a week, do we get paid for the extra hours?
2. Do we get reimbursed for parking and bridge tolls?
3. Do we get reimbursed for office supplies?
4. Do we get to set our own workdays (i.e. work T-Th and 1/2 day Friday)? If so, are we totally off the clock the rest of the week (that is, do we have to check email)?
5. What if a conference call is scheduled on our days off?

Thanks!

Good questions.

My offer letter says the salary is "based on 2.5 days per week/8 hours per day". So that would actually be 20 hours/week.

A big question for me, since I am in a semi-rural area, is how big the territory is. Depending on how big the territory is, it might be hard to get the required calls in 2.5 days.

From past experience, I can answer a few of your questions.
You do not get extra pay.
Parking and tolls come out of your auto allowance.
You get reimbursed if you are required to purchase something.
You set your own workdays. Mon. and Fri. are not generally good days in the field.
Check email regularly.
You must be on a conference call. Rearrange your work days so that the call is on a workday.
Hope this helps.

There was a new Premarin posting in my area yesterday. I don't know if someone had been hired and quit already or if the position was never filled. But it was listed as a new posting yesterday. I applied online and My question is, how long does it take to hear from someone if they are interested in you?

How is it that the required hours are different for the same contract, same product? Mine said 2.5 days/week, 20 hrs. They said we could do 2 days one week, 3 days the next, averaging 20 hrs/week. I am wondering do we tell our DM's ahead of time what our schedules are and what days we're working? We should not have to attend conference calls if they are not on days we're working especially since we won't be getting paid for them.

Welcome to contract sales

It doesn't matter if this is a contract position--all companies have to comply with local and federal labor laws. If we are hourly employees, we need to get paid for every hour we work and get reimbursed for job-related expenses.

That sounds good in theory but the problem with that is we are not hourly employees. At least my offer letter had a base monthly rate plus the bonus and car allowance.
