There is no official date given at Novartis. They tell you it's safe, not to worry, then bang.....don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. It has happened to several divisions in the past couple of years.
 












Experienced this chaos a few years back. I chose to stay because overall benefits time off salary etc are good at Novartis. However the culture was much better than it is currently so this time around I may feel differently. Good luck everyone

100% it will be end of August/end of the quarter.

This is exactly how they did it a few years ago during the Xiidra buy out from Shire.

I'd bet my bottom dollar it will happen then.

I'd say get the home secured and figure it out if you lose your job. If they make a cut to your position, I believe you'll get paid til January before your actual severance kicks in. That'll buy you some time to line up another gig.
 




I have cosmetic surgery (breast and butt) scheduled for the first week os September. The surgery is not cheap! Should I hold off until I know my job is safe? My looks help me with my docs.

You should probably go ahead and close on your home. If you get let go, you’ll get a severance and have an opportunity to get another job. If you try to get a mortgage after getting let go, you’ll be challenged by any mortgage company about your time on a new job
