Office Based Hospital vs. Hospital

Both positions are being advertised in my area. Based on the title, one calls on offices (yet, why it is called Office based Hospital??) and the other hospital but yet the job descriptions are the same.
Are they the same job? If not, same products and pay? No sarcasm please, a recruiter spoke to me about Office Based but may be more interested in just Hospital.
Thank you

If you just need a band aid then maybe consider it as a last reasort to support your family. Leadership is ruining what was once a great place to work. Otherwise, Run far away!!!! You were warned :-/

Office Based-sells dog Xartemis XR that has no formulary coverage and no pharmacy stocking and is an expensive branded Percocet. They will also be selling Offirmev to surgeons in their offices which will be redundant since it is a hospital drug and the hospital reps will have already called on them.
Hospital Reps- Selling Offirmev which was once a great seller but once MNK took over, they increased the price sky high pissing everyone off and getting kicked off of most hospital formularies.

Basically they will both suck but the hospital pays as good $20k more in base and $20k more in bonus and has MUCH better leadership. The upper management on the Office Based MNK side are causing the destruction of the company.

Pretty accurate description. Office based bases range 70-90k with 26k bonus at plan. I've heard Hospital base around 110k with 40k bonus. I'm on the office side. From what I understand the hospital reps are very unhappy also.

Completely toxic culture ran by Hugh and Stacy. Office based leadership has been destructive. 3 months ago there were 330 territories. Head count 2 weeks ago was around 100 for office reps. Don't come here unless you have nothing better.

In the first 6 months anyone know xartemis sales. I couldnt find a specific reference in financials as it was grouped in with other brands. does 10 million sound right

PS do not take the job unless you have no other options. If your friend is referring you and you currently have a job you should question that friendship. We get 5 grand for every hire we get

So true on the 2nd part. The referral bonus was just increased to $5,000! It was $1500. Word is out on MNK. If a friend refers you to a position without being up front then you need to look for new friends.

I am very curious how anyone can look at the Mallinckrodt website and still consider working here. Have you read through all the posts for the last few months? If so, why would you want to work here? And if not, you are extremely lazy.

Can you first please tell me if these jobs are the same? Their job descriptions are nearly identical. If not, Is one worse than the other? Salary the same?

They are not the same. The hospital reps only call on hospitals. The office-based reps only call on private offices, but they are selling a hospital-only drug along with the DOG Xartemis XR. When I say "dog," I mean a product where half the people on my team had fewer than 15 prescriptions in six months.

some client sure is a sucker paying this outside firm for researching our market. Lazy asses read career postings and run to CP for clarification of expansion positions...thinly disguised as job seeker but realy looking for targeting and products placement etc. two-faced Lame-ass

I worked the hospital arena for 8 yrs and there are no products they have that are hospital based. They use generics and it is all about formulary coverage, which they have none. Don't put yourself through the torture. They doubled the price of their injectable Tylenol and Pharmacy Directors were so mad they took it off formulary. Xartemis is a dog and it speaks for itself. It is P.O. and there are no outpatient clinics, even in the hospital that will use this, when they can use a generic for 1/4 the cost....... Run from this unethical company and run fast. Run Forest run.....

unethical. key term.

Lazy ass trolls reading career sites then posing as job seekers on CP (again) in hopes of getting clarification of organization of sales force and it's targeting... More than a tad less than ethical as well.
