Bingo!  And one more thing, if you go to the website for Kingdom Life Ministries and read their various tenants, you will see a whole section about "work is worship" talking about the obligation of church members to lead a "seamless life" where they use the workplace to advance the kingdom of God.  Very recently Pete used the phrase "legislate the kingdom of God into existence".  This certainly doesn't create a very friendly workplace for anyone who does not agree with Pete's right wing fundamentalist take on life.

Pete had a former staff member who studied for the Catholic priesthood, but never went through with ordination.  This former staff person opined that the story of Noah and the Arc was meant to be a metaphor, and should not be taken literally.  Pete pulled him aside and chastised him saying that he was offended by the staffer's comments, because every word of the bible must be taken literally.

You can also find photos and video clips of Pete at the US Capitol Building holding "work as worship" prayer meetings.  Of course everyone there knows he is a senior VP for Alkermes.  While it may endear him to some congressional staffers who share his views, I'm guessing it causes many more who have different or no religious convictions to view him as an extremist...which in fact he is.

All of this works against our building working relationships with both sides of the aisle and particularly with the Biden administration.
