Oceans Managers - Your Thoughts Please...

If the industry was serious about cutting cost they would start with management. There once was a time and place where they had things to do to justify their worth. Now all they do is piss off the customers, use hindsite to say you should have done this or that, and conduct worthless meetings and POA's to go over same message as before. It's like they are trying to reinvent the wheel. It all comes down to job justification. For the rep it is easy to do. You make the calls, sell the product, excute your plan to move the business. The only job that is more of a joke than the managers is the next level up. No that's a great gig. From what I can tell you greet people at training, tell people you are excited for the opportunity, take lots of vacations, and wait for the next contract, only to do it all over again. Makes me wonder who they know or what they did to get that cherished spot. I saw more leaders in the salespeople on this contract that any of thoses who called themselves a mananger.

HAHAHA, another entitled loser that feels their pharma sample monkey/ coffee delivery position is too important to have management. You spoiled clowns are hilarious. PS- Nice spelling you illiterate dip shit.

Contract sales

Was told by a DM that having a contract sales position on your resume would never get you a position with big pharma in the future , and huge layoff in December for AZ Reps...feedback please

First part is a fact, second is far from it. AZ is going to be announcing more company acquisitions here shortly.

Thanks...thought it was strange in the interview that the DM said the contract job could last for 1 month...why spend the $ to hire, much less the time and $ to interview for 2 days and then say that all candidates were great but the position was not going to be filled. What a waste of time for ME and for the company!

I am hoping to get some serious replies to my questions, so please keep the bs to yourself. We all know how shady this contract has been with payouts, but I am curious what everyone is going to do to finish out. If we interview and get an offer before Sept 18th are we not going to be payed out our bonus for Q2? Also, does anyone know how to find out how many vacation days we have left to use? I am planning on using them up because I think it is safe to say they will make it challenging to get paid out on those also. In the event of an offer from another company, has anyone ever double dipped? Meaning, if the start date for the new job is a week or so before this contract ends, should we just keep this job in order to get paid out the bonus from Q2 and Q3?

Your manager should know how many days you have left. If you have been keeping good notes, you'd know too. Not to sound mean though.

I personally would not take any vacation and get paid out on unused days. Extra money.

We will not get retention bonus if we leave before 9/17 but will get bonus on each/all of our individual months of goal calls.

I would not double dip, just not worth it. If the other (new) company found out, you can easily be fired. It's just not worth it, is it?
