Okay - Is it just my manager or is any other manager riding with reps the last week of the contract !!!!!

Its not about you, it's about your manager. Your manager has to account for his time somehow, so this is really no surprise.

My manager expects the FULL, Textbook, every slide in the presenation detail (profile, align, present and close) on every call !!! Has any other managers eased up a bit on their last field visits ?

Again, your manager is just doing his job. He has to account for his time and show his accomplishments or he will never get another job. It's not about you at all. It's all about him.

No, they are just stupid assholes that are one of the big reasons this industry still lags behind other "sales" industries. The "DM Model" as practiced by pharma is as out of date as the horse and buggy.

They like to squeeze in as many last minute frequent flier and hotel miles as possible. It's disgusting.

BTW my mgr rode with me this week and it was actually kind of nice. They were very positive, provided a nice review for me, etc.

Good luck to us all in the OCEAN. It's going to be tough out here but hopefully soon that next wave will come and we can get back on the board. Stay positive and keep trying, we really did a find job on this contract. Sucks for now but learn something from this experince and you will be better off for having lived thru it.
