Introducing the logical extension of Obamacare...ObamaCAR.

I envision two levels of ObamaCAR:
1. The basic level of coverage would provide for free oil changes, free repairs, and free gasoline. Since most people use their cars primarily to get back and forth to work, every employer would be required to pay the premiums. Coverage would include $40.00 worth of gas per week. This would naturally require a new Federal beaurocracy, perhaps putting as many as 200,000 people back to work.
2. Extended ObamaCAR (the Cadillac Plan), would cover all mileage, and would include extra gas for trips to the airport, and also airport valet parking. Due to the added costs of maintaining luxury cars, ObamaCAR would have to include an "Overhaul Panel". This panel would be required to approve all engine repairs beyond basic maintenance. The goal is to more fully achieve "planned obsolescence", whereby the Government would have overall control of the frequency with which new car purchases are made. This would have the effect of smoothing out the rough spots in the economy by requiring replacement of the entire vehicle rather than, for example, fixing a flat tire.
In order to realize the necessary economies of manufacturing scale, ObamaCAR would require limiting or eliminating options on the purchase of new cars. The basic ObamaMobile Sedan would be pink. All sports cars would be required to have only white paint so that they could be spotted a long way off. There would have to be penalties for the purchase of sports cars, however, due to the increased cost of operation. Violators could be cited for driving a White Sports Car in a Pink Car Nation. Illegal immigrants would be issued new cars free of charge as an inducement for registering to vote as Democrats. Republicans would be issued a 1969 Chevy Nova with a 400HP engine.
I believe this plan has very strong possibilities, but it is just a basic outline. Your suggestions for improvements to ObamaCAR would be greatly appreciated.
