O.R. experience

What do you guys realistically do in the O.R.? I realize it's probably a great qualification if one has it and another candidate does not....but really....what would the challenges be for a person who did not have O.R. experience? And unfortunately, I guess I need to state on here that I am looking for serious replies only.

Really, you just stand there away from the table and make sure they are putting a Mentor implant in as opposed to a competitor. The true skill comes from the relationships you forge with the surgeons in their offices in order to be invited into the OR in the off chance a surgeon has a question. Mentor has hired a pharma rep or two and they have done very well, IMHO, due only to the fact they have great personalities.
