NSM Disaster

Welcome to Abbvie, where we excel at our inability to forecast and then offer minimal compensation to appease our employees. This is despite the fact that two-thirds of the company missed their goals, and we haven't accurately forecasted goals for all of 2024. Yet, somehow, the company goal is magically being met. We assure you that this situation has been "fixed," even though your Q1 2025 goals reflect otherwise. We encourage you to trust our gaslighting tactics, as they're far more comforting than the truth. Additionally, we're pleased to inform you that generics will now be included in your competitive bucket, even though you have no coverage. But hey, at least we’re in Vegas.

"Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation where the abuser attempts to sow seeds of doubt in the victim's mind, making them question their own memory, perception, and sanity."

I want some of whatever marketing & ELT is smoking. Asking for first line treatment with GP & IM providers with treatment naive patients and AU with no first line coverage on any national plan? Don’t worry though, stay tuned, big wins to come and so what if you destroy relationships before that happens. Puff, puff, pass…

NSM shit show. Treated us like first time pharma reps, wouldn't put tables in rooms cause new boss said we couldn't focus. Zero free time, BS simulation that went to 7pm, oh ya then everyone gets the flu...good times

This place is run by a bunch of dumbos. My mgr posting our team pic from the NSM on LinkedIn like an ass clown. How embarrassing and what a mockery. Hope to land a new job soon.

Axsome's leadership has made it clear that they expect absolute compliance, prioritizing stock price over patient and healthcare provider well-being. This "all in" mentality discourages dissent and has led to the sales force being labeled "complainers" and "high maintenance" for raising concerns about decisions that negatively impact patients and HCPs. Consequently, Axsome has experienced a significant loss of top-performing sales representatives, including past "Elite Club" winners and those that were on track for 2024 recognition. These individuals are choosing to leave rather than tolerate what they perceive as a disrespectful and devaluing work environment driven by ego-centric leadership. It's disheartening to witness colleagues abandoning their values and self-respect in pursuit of advancement within this system. The message from upper management (AM & SFM) is clear: unquestioning obedience is required, and those who disagree should leave.

Stock is at 100 and people are complaining. Can't make it up
Exactly the problem. Thanks for shining a light on this.

Tell me, what is the stock price amount where pointing out toxic environments, toxic leadership, ineffective management, and a cultural foundation of subservient, voiceless drones is acceptable? Are you so impossibly shallow that the idea that people give a shit enough to want to improve their situation outside of being tied to money and money alone is foreign to you?

Congratulations. Your promotion should come through any day now. You’ll fit right in.

This is AFTER an FDA approval of a dog shit migraine drug. Didn’t even make a dent.
A dog shit migraine drug that they can’t manage to launch for another four months. Does it sound like the manufacturing problems have really been fixed?

The label is a worst case scenario. It can’t even separate from its individual components. There are no advantages whatsoever over a triptan with an otc nsaid.

Stock price didn’t jump because of the gigantic red flags.

We were having a productive discussion about the concerning culture and leadership at Axsome. Unfortunately, a disruptive short-seller derailed the conversation with their own agenda. While I understand the stock price is a concern for some, especially those who aren't Axsome employees, it's important to note that the stock recently reached an all-time high, likely driven by the perceived success of the migraine drug approval. It's common for investors to take profits after such significant gains. Regarding the drug's launch, the typical timeline for a newly approved product to reach the market is 60-120 days. This period is needed to build a sales force, establish distribution channels, develop rebate programs, etc.
For those with efficacy concerns, I encourage you to review the clinical trial data or listen to Friday's conference call. This drug has the potential to generate $500 million to $1 billion in revenue. Now go back to watching re-runs of SouthPark in your mom’s basement.

The culture is not all that concerning to those who don’t lean towards bitching and complaining at the slightest opportunity. The majority of those people are always the most active on this forum, of course. Can certain things be adjusted as Axsome grows-of course they can. As far as the exits last year, go chat with some of our friends who bounced. Regrets galore. Razzle dazzle and throwing money and promises around up front is usually necessary when the longer term won’t be so hot. The smart ones (including many yes-psych reps-who are still here) saw that for what is was. There are examples of full teams still here. This likely has a lot to do with local managers and there are some really good ones here. If your manager posted a pic of your team and that bothers you LOL. you are probably the team drain that we all would rather not have sticking around. Go sell. And yes get a clue and be happy about the stock price, too.

The situation SFM is a serious concern. A work environment has been created where questioning senior management decisions results in being labeled as negative and disillusioned. Decisions impacting patients – their mental well-being and potentially their lives – are being made retroactively and without field input. It's also troubling that experienced, award-winning psychiatry representatives are being treated as if they lack basic knowledge of their roles, including total office calls and HCP education. The idea of RBDs with no psychiatric experience training these seasoned professionals is frankly absurd. The significant talent drain, both past and ongoing, speaks volumes. Furthermore, the sales operations issues and the fact that only a third of the sales representatives achieved their 2024 goals suggest deeper problems that require immediate attention. Dismissing these issues would be almost as big mistake as hiring you!

Lol. 120 days may be typical if there is DEA scheduling or a REMS program, which are not applicable here.

Sure, $500m-1b for a generic combo pill with mediocre efficacy in a crowded market seems reasonable… I wonder how similar combo products (Treximet) with better efficacy data have performed on the market?
