Novo is charging a huge premium for its products in India. It has become unaffordable for ordinary citizens like us.One of my colleagues who works in Novo pointed me to this forum. We are starting a movement to write to the Prime Ministers office.Kindly spread the word so that we can have more people speaking up.We will also raise this issue on other social media forums.Thank you for your help.

If the price is too high, then don't buy it. There are other manufacturers.

In India, you have a single-payor, government-provided health care system that provides drugs on their 'essential drug list' to its citizens for free, from what I understand. Looks like an analogue basal, fast-acting and 70/30 mix are on there, so I presume these are all Novo insulins. Also, metformin and SUs. Pretty sad that you don't have access to any GLP1 medications, but if you have an issue with drugs that are not on that list being too expensive, you need to take that up with your government, and not the manufacturers of products which are not on the EDL.

India also has private insurance available as well, no? Maybe someone from India can chime in bc I am not certain how that works when it comes to prescription benefits, if they follow your EDL, etc. Seems like you have a large amount of medical suppliers, distributors, etc in your country who are most likely price-gauging on items which are not on the EDL.
