Novasure sales position

Was recruited for this. Have been told 70k base plus comm to 150-170. Are most people in the 120-150 range? Any chance to get the base higher? Sounds like a pretty well accepted device. Everyone I have talked to has been great so far. Any input would be appreciated.

I've been with the company for 2 years. Much like every other job I've ever had, it's all about the manager. Make sure you vette your hiring manager as much as they do you. You can expect $130 if you stay home and just cover cases. If you are at all active $150-$170 is doable. Beyond $170 is pretty hard to do. You need to get lucky.

Gyn is a great space to work in for quality of life, but $ is really never gonna be great. Company has its ups and downs, but products are great.

No chance on getting the base higher, but what the hell it's worth trying.

If the at plan pay is $170K, and its hard to get beyond $170K, does that mean that the quotas are unreasonable? Does Hologic have a high % of market share in the surgical sales? How are the managers in the West, both DM's and RM's?

It is getting much harder to hit quota. Managed care is putting many more restrictions on NovaSure. MyoSure is in litigation with Smith-Nephew. Would not be surprised if it gets pulled from the market eventually.

Both are great products, but the company is not adequately adapting to the economic changes in the marketplace. Ultimately this means a much tougher sell to docs who are hamstrung to prescribe oral contraception and hospitals who will look only at the bottom line. Either way, Hologic products usually come out on the losing end. So will you if you are banking on making the full commission.

The manager of the district including Denver just quit. He was one of the most respected guys in the company. The bullshit wasn't worth it to him any more. Consider that when making your decision.

Please describe in detail what managed care is doing to this product.
