Novartis to pay $99 for sale rep overtime lawsuit settlement

It's only $99 million, not $99. The lawyers will get almost half. Then 7200 people split the rest. Wow a whopping $7000 per person on average!!! That's just one good quarter of bonuses.

Novartis gets its ass kicked by the US Supreme court and still says it won't reclassify its reps' status? That takes huge balls, hubris or pure arrogant stupidity! Nevertheless, they don't care.

Interesting how Novartis just laid off 2500 people, huh? That'll learn ya to fuck with the leadership.

Small victory if you ask me. Nothing changes and the corp shits on those who dare them.

This is weak. No wonder they settled out of court. I personally worked 60-70-80-90 hours every week for Pfizer, except vacations for more than 10 years. When it came down to it. They did not care, took advantage of me, but I did it to keep my job. I always performed and that was because I worked those kind of hours. In 2008, I had a jerk of an RSD that didn't like me, he only liked the ladies if you know what I mean, or the guys who bowed down to him. So he screwed with the numbers and I had no way of winning. The severance was nice, I had a good ride and have no regrets. I still have ood memories of my time at Pfizer, but I do not miss the overtime they required to do the job and win.
