For those doubters, the writing is officially on the wall. Hello Quest or LabCorp.
You are out of your mind! Novartis runs too many clinical trials through Genoptix to divest them.
I posted regarding this 2 months ago. It will happen in Feb 2014.
Before you get too excited, you should read the article and not just the headline. It talks about selling it's vaccine and diagnostics division which is different than us. you're on the wrong board--especially if you don't work here anymore. If the grass is so much greener, why do you spend your time on this board....re-evaluate your life.
I feel so unintelligent, I thought we are a diagnostic company. Sure appreciate your talents for correcting my knowledge. We sell a matchmaking service for the dumbs and the dummies like you. Please hang tight, you might even get a promotion since LH is demoted now for being too smart for our standards!
You seem so unintelligent. Again, if you read the article, it mentions "vaccines and diagnostics" which is listed under Novartis' offerings as something different than Genoptix. I don't like to name call, but you're the dummy. One of the problems is people who read/hear the headlines, but don't follow the whole story. Have a nice day.

Like lab would even be mention, what is it .4% of revenue. LOL at clinical trial theory, farm that out with no risk - recall 10 years ago when the first drug company bought a lab (I know you don't) it is now another division of LabCorp <sad face>
It's perverse that someone actually thinks our former NSD was too smart and was demoted.
Perverse but not unusual as sr mgmt. has zero clue and Novartis even less so what it takes to run a competitive lab business.

Do your homework...NVS V&D has been around forever...where do you think the free flu shot comes from...it's not GDX...although both are in the SD area...

Genopitx is now worth less than half of Novartis had paid 470 million back in 2011. No market and revenue growth, no profit growth, pending legal liability in numerous substandard cancer diagnostic tests (such as AQUA). Cartesian medical group has been consistently over-ordering, over-testing, overbilling, compared to other commercial labs. Everybody in the field knows that. Medicare knows that. Insurance companies know that. Novartis is not able to sell part of Genoptix to get initial investment back.
Conforms? If Novartis was going to sell gxdx who would be interested? It's losing revenue year over year. The majority of its sales force doesn't understand the testing they sell. Most physicians refuse to do business due to over testing, over charging, or bs testing. It's a complete Custer F. why would anyone be interested
Every loser here wishes every year for a buy out. They want to justify their complete incompetence and laziness for staying with a downtrodden company by attempting to convince themselves that the company will be bought out and that they'll finally be rewarded for their pertinence with a package.

She is/was utterly unqualified for VP. I laughed out loud when I saw that she went from rep to VP in like 5 years. My guess is that that smart CEO doesn't have much in the way of business sense.
She was never a VP -- god even stupidity at Genoptix has its limits. She was just the useless National Sales Director like Bob of PeteBob fame. No more and a lot less.
Medical fraud involving cancer diagnoses, cover-ups, and retaliations have been repeatedly happening. Monthly compliance education? It is an education to show government that we are doing compliance eucation. Business interests and executives' personal interests override that. Until it is caught, cover up and retaliation. You speak up, you will be kicked out. It is simple as that.
