Novartis' Tasigna better than Glivec in CML

NOT statistically significant. No actual data presented here, but my assumption is marginal clinical benefit. I'm no financial analyst, but the projected revenues seem extremely high. Gleevec is too good for too many, considered safer and soon to be WAY less expensive. If Tasigna is able to surpass Gleevec in market share I'll be very surprised.

Do not know the data either but if it is not statistically significant the trial failed to demonstrate the hypothesised effect. Again we will not be bothered by statistics and sell results as another breakthrough.

This entire website is filled with a bunch of FUCKING EEYORES.... You read a positive headline from fidelity and somehow twist it negative. Life gave you lemonade and somehow you fuckers are able to turn it back to lemons.... Good luck with that outlook. Have a happy life...

"Good morning, Pooh Bear," said Eeyore gloomily. "If it is a good morning," he said. "Which I doubt," said he.
"Why, what's the matter?"
"Nothing, Pooh Bear, nothing. We can't all, and some of us don't. That's all there is to it."
"Can't all what?" said Pooh, rubbing his nose.
"Gaiety. Song-and-dance. Here we go round the mulberry bush."

Well you've found the perfect home with Novartis.
Rule 1-Don't think critically. Accept their version of the happy, happy place.
Rule 2-Have a ridiculous overreaction to anyone who does.

Oh yeah, fuck you, you fucking fucker.

Eeyore.... don't be so hateful when people point-out the obvious negative reaction that MOST of you MORONS have to ANYTHING and EVERYTHING Novartis.

Thank you for these insights into your lack of understanding of the fundamental basics of clinical research. It is people like you who contribute to the big trouble the company is in.

Headlines should be derived from data. Data include not just numbers but statistics. Novartis is not just tweaking, we are turning stuff upside down. Every graduate student understands this bullshitting.

OK graduate student.... what is Novartis turning upside down SPECIFICALLY? Because I think fundamentally YOU are full-o-shit. You have no idea what you are talking about, yet you spout-off generalities in an attempt to create some negative perception. Go F yourself, you don't work for Novartis.

You seem to be the angry one. My profanity was mocking your original angry post.
Every company massages stats. If you know the difference between absolute and relative risk
reduction. Novartis like others I'm sure will use whichever one suits them, even with the same product. On one hands they talked about the rr reduction with Zometa until Xgeva, then miraculously focused on the small absolute risk benefit of Xgeva to minimize its relative risk benefit over Zometa.
Pharma is more about business than science which is why doctors want less and less to do with us.

Yep, I understand the difference as do our customers. We present the facts and they evaluate its value.... straight-forward and simple. So what's the problem?
BTW... my ORIGINAL post was not angry, it was simply a copy-and-paste job from fidelity. Then I sat back and waited for ALL the angry socialists to chime-in and poo-poo the facts. Predictably my strategy worked like magic.

The post I was referring to was the eeyore post. What does socialism have to do with this? I think you are out of your mind, or at least myopic.
If we only present the facts that we choose to and in the way we choose, we are nothing more than car salesmen. Every time you present one side of the story, you diminish yourself in the eyes of any oncologist. They are no dummies. If our job is to present 1/2 truths than we deserve what we get by diminished access and government intrusion. Take your slanted science and marketing bs back to CV were it belongs. Bet you a million bucks you are not more than 1-2 years out of Diovan sales or marketing. Thanks for ruining what used to be a respectable/respected position.

Who is presenting one side of the story?
Socialism has to do with 90% of the MORONS who infest this website.... who have as their ONLY goal to takedown corporations with the hope of destroying people's lives who make more money than they do.
BTW, I'll put my 15 years worth of accomplishments compared to your experience any day of the week.

Thank you for amusing me while I watch football. Unlikely but possible that your CV awards exceed mine Oncology ones, but it doesn't really matter. Pods and goaling diminish those anyway.
I think our comparative intelligence and most likely skill are probably evident in the content of our posts.

Comparative intelligence and skill.... I would agree. It is MOST evident.
Thanks for the compliment.

Facts include statistics, in this case which in this case scream: not statistically significant. THIS is a matter of fact, so T is not better than G. Same as with everolimus and carcinoid. Physicians and analysts are not as dumb as the company thinks they are.

Always entertaining to read your sophisticated, well-put phrases. Which are packed-full of evidence. Oh, and your Mommy has done a great job teaching you respect and politeness. You're a tru role model for so many of us.

Boy, I really wish I wouldn't have co-workers like you with such a short memory. Negative 'perception' stems from facts eg ignoring critical and major inspection findings (eg FDA warning letter from early December; these 3 Sandoz sites are just the tip of the iceberg. You obviously don't know anybody within TRD.), from ignoring statistical insignificance (Tasigna/Glivec; Afinitor/carcinoid), 'delaying' actions on safety data (to name just a few: Prexige, Zometa; FDA is investigating others right now. You obviously don't know anybody within DS&E either.), ... the list goes on and on. But please continue in your belief that this company is a saint and all those employees who are not brainwashed yet and think critically are wrong. It would be so boring to have fact-based discussions. And please don't make any New Year's resolutions to refrain from using insulting 4-letter words; in fact, you may want to expand your vocabulary here because so far, they are quite predictable: idiot, moron, socialist, f...u, full-o-sh... I am sure you can do better than this, at least on that end ...
