Not only reps, it states doctors will also testify they received payments for bogus events. How stupid does NVS management need to be to let a case proceed this far as to expose their corruption? I hope the govt DOESN'T settle goes to trial & lets a jury hear all the sordid details . The public needs to know & have names associated with this crooked sham
 




If the scum managers didn't force everyone to have so many programs, they could have actually done it the right way and educated docs on the products.

What's funny in the court filing NVS keeps proclaiming they did nothing wrong. Yet they are fighting to set a trial date. If you're so innocent why are you so afraid to plead your case in court? o_O

BTW You need an accountant to tally up all the countries NVS has bribed doctors ++ in :eek:
 




This will likely going to cost NVS multiple billions, which would be simply wealth redistribution to another set of greedy, corrupt hands.

And those are big hands ;-)
 








novartis is/was trying to find scapegoats. Calling reps and basically asking for names of people that they could say acted on their own doing bogus programs etc.
Like management/leadership has nothing to do with it.

Problem is most of the old school Mgmt came up the ranks doing the exact same thing in fact mentoring the reps in the typical schemes Besides the sheer amount of $$$$$$$$$ shoveled down reps throats for an insane amount of programs despite reps reluctance much of it documented in call notes emails etc speaks volume for the real force behind the scams & thats UPPER MGMT

How many doctors was Novartis "funding" that didn't prescribe their meds?

How many conversations between reps & managers sounded like this

"If he/she doesn't start writing or increase writing they can't be a speaker "
or
"we expect more from our speakers"
or
"spend ALL your budget regardless of sales"
yada yada yada

How many of these conversations are in Mid Years , year ends FCR's etc etc etc ;)

When will we ever learn? Sick of the sleaze merchants ruining it for everyone.
 




The sad reality is that once this practice found a legs, it became the norm. When I was still in primary sales, we were told we had to spend the budget completely. We could not include spouses, but expected the medical community to attend because of course they would take their family time for us. My partner was so scared of the corrupt manager we had, he did whatever this jerk demanded--many time the same 4 docs, "nurses" and the boss would make sure he scored good wine out of the ordeal. I began to refuse to participate, the boss complained to his boss and it became so miserable I moved to another division. Thank God the new manager had scruples, but he suffered at the ire of his management. No wonder the medical community thinks we are all a bunch of incompetent talking heads
 




Don't worry Novartis has exhibited so much loyalty to their employees past & present that there must certainly be a vast pool volunteering to commit perjury during a trial

The fine will not be determined by the revenue generated from these programs, it will be determined from all revenue for these products from the time frame in question. My guess - $300 million if no trial. If trial $750 million.
