Looks as though the President is going to encouraging going back to work if you’re not in a “Hotspot” of the Covid-19. I hope so! There are states which will have reps out for awhile, but those of us who can go back to work should! Our stock is plummeting and we need to get this boat floating. If you’re not immune compromised and have no lung issues ... you should be ok as long as you are careful with hand washing etc. I don’t want to stay home much longer.... Abbvie scrap the IC plan so people aren’t penalized if they can’t work due to being in a hotspot and allow those that can work - to work. Provide fair bonus for everyone. We’ve got to get back to business soon or we could see our jobs at great risk!

I agree, it will be summer before we know it; I’ve had my eyes on a boat for months but I don’t want to pull the trigger just because of this silly virus, it sucks.

Well stated, BUT in relation to other industries not pharma. If you’re getting paid stay home. You can’t shut the American economy down for 3 months. There will be permanent job loss and long lasting irreversible and devastating economic effects. This epidemic is the perfect excuse for Pharma to reduce workforce’s in mass numbers. Life must go on and DJT is on point that the cure would be worse than the disease.

Medical offices deal with very sick people everyday. Have marketing create branded Purcell stations for the offices. Require reps to sanitize going in and going out maybe even wear masks until virus benchmarks are reached. For the vast majority of offices, how is this different than a mersa outbreak or any other flu situation?

Without adequate testing, there is no way of knowing if your community is on the verge of being a hotspot. Only when everyone who needs a test, can actually get a test will you know the risk. Don't turn you community into hotspot.
 












Those of us who live in a State where the covid 19 cases are low ... should be able to go back to work using precautions (hand sanitizer, washing hands, wearing a mask etc). There WILL be layoffs if most are not working period! Guess what? There will be NO other pharma job you can go to because they too will be laying off people. Let’s not be stupid! The risk of getting this virus to the point of needing hospitalization if you are healthy with no lung issues is low - at worst a 14 day self quarantine in your bedroom. If you have elderly parents - be smart about how you interact with them. Kids can’t go back to school and not old enough to stay home alone ... figure that out, but those of us who can go back to work because our state has low cases with no new cases or very few new cases coming ... need to go back to work!! Not going back to work - if you’re able - will cripple us all in the long run.
 






Who are you going to call on while on your new Trump mission to defeat the virus with commerce? No offices will be seeing reps until at least May...and that is if we are lucky.

Bottom line, health care is going to be massively changed forever. I don't have a crystal ball but my guess; over 50% of Pharma rep jobs will be gone. Prepare now for a life after Pharma.
