Not Hired because living out of territory?

Just curious if anyone else has heard this, or if it's an actual Forrest policy. Do managers not hire representatives or even interview reps that don't live inside the territory? Is this true, or is it an easy out for a reason not to hire you?

I worked for FRX for 4 years and NEVER lived in my territory. To each is own with the DM's

Its a company guideline (reps "should" live in their territory), but some managers enforce it as a policy. as the previous poster said, its down to manager's discretion. When i worked for Forest, I too lived outside of my territory.

theres alot of reps and dm's that do not live in the territory just look at TJ he lives in nashville TN and commutes to charlotte nc when he wants too

Yea, Just look at TJ. Has been RD and now a DM. LOL. The commute just went through the roof.
