Not even 3's are safe

Think about it. Only so many positions available and many in one area received 3's over a 3 year period. Does not protect you. Know this for a fact. Just a numbers fact. There just aren't going to be enough positions for everyone who had 3's in any of the years 2009, 2010, or 2011.

Knew this fron day 1. There are only certain number of 1's given the others gone will have 2's and 3's. Yes if you have a 3 you may feel a bit more secure but there are other things that will decide your fate

Honestly, they should simply let go everyone who sells Valturna, Tekturna, Tekamlo, Diovan & Exforge. That would make things simple. It's the Exelon Patch & Reclast reps that will keep the company afloat, for the time being. The overwhelming majority of CV reps have never sold an IV product for which there are no samples. They've never set foot into a nursing home. They just drop samples. With the clock ticking on the patents of Reclast & Exelon Patch, they'll never learn both drugs sufficiently to maintain/increase sales.

Agree with you on this but won't happen that way. Novartis doesn't care if they did they would have kept the reps in place last year who sold Reclast. Sales have dropped because of all the disruption

Perhaps because sales have dropped due to the previous disruption Novartis WILL finally get i's act together & do the right thing. If you sold CV exclusively, you've got to go. CV reps are notorious for not being the most "get-along-go-along".

And what IV drug do you sell genius?

Well aren't you just quite full of yourself there genius. Keep telling yourself you are the only reason your POD and District put up any numbers and maybe you'll keep believing it.

But, you probably forgot to put your patch on and didn't remember that perhaps there are reps that at some point transferred from Chronic Care to CV or are portfolio reps. You do know we have a Systems of Care division right?

Keep sampling your Reclast and you're bound to make it to President's Club. And may you also be blessed with the first phone call of the company on April 1st that you are unemployed.

to the post # 4 jackarse....

CV rep here....launched Diovan into what it is today - a multi-billion dollar drug....Yes we bought some business, but everybody did at the time....it was a level playing field.

Novartis is hanging by a thread with Patch, they want to make it into a big deal that the higher dose will be approved; however, the majority of docs dont even titrate (means to increase the dose in case you didnt know) from 4.6 up to the next dose (9.5).

1-2 years ago, Novartis never gave any money towards Patch when I was selling it (yes I got put on the product for a year , as well as Reclast). They knew it was a mediocre option. Plus the red markings, itching happens a lot more than people think!

Reclast - too bad the paperwork is a nightmare. If I were a doctor, I wouldnt be bothered with this option cause getting it approved, getting an appointment set up to be infused, etc...My patient could be on a pill for over 15-20 days before all that crap is done!

And dont give me.."oh, but its once a year, and oral meds you have to wait a 1/2 hour to eat or drink, and you cant take it with orange juice, you need to sit upright...." Really? explain the billions that have been made with Boniva, Fosamax, etc....

I would not even venture to comment on whether one product mix will be viewed as more valuable than any other, but there were 3's downsized last time, and the pool was a hell of a lot larger. I am sure both good and lousy reps will get the call, in the end it only matters when you begin to look for work. Other industries/companies don't care, but if you were a lazy parasite, you will continue to be a lazy parasite.

I agree. How could they possibly teach Reclast to anyone before the patent expires? It took me six months to grasp the billing. Also, good luck developing relationships with nursing homes. That doesn't just happen overnight.

So, who set you up on a pedestal as to how to judge other reps? Just because you are a mediocre rep and took 6 months to learn the billing (I can only imagine how long it took you to learn the clinical side. Or, am I being presumptive in thinking that you maybe have grasped the clinical side of Reclast?) doesn't mean it takes everyone that long.

While you are in the nursing homes, why don't you pick out a nice comfy bed.

reclast reps in my area are lazy. my friend sells prolia and every office said they don't remember the last time they saw a reclast reps. what a joke and they are put on pedistals as elite sales people. That means it sells it self.

Sampling Reclast?!? Get your facts straight. If you don't sell Reclast or EXP right now, you are at a disadvantage.

Well Smart Ass!!! If you knew anything about the Reclast market place!! The Prolia reps target the smaller potential osteo docs...Reclast goes after the big dogs!! Reclast reps dont waste their time on T5's like Amgen, they get our left overs!!! So to your point they would not see us!!!! tell your friend to stick that Prolia injection up his/her ass...The big Dr's wouldn't write that crap ass drug anyway! The gig is up on those Prolia reps!!

cv rep here. I once made $18000 selling diovan in 1 trimester. bet you never saw that selling the patch.

I have also sold 10 different products with novartis in the last 15 years. It takes 1 or 2 days to learn a new product. Get over yourself.

I can say I have sold at least 10 different products over the last 11 years and these people do have a point with Reclast. Disease state is no big deal but the learning curve for buy and bill etc with all reimbursement info is bigger. Honestly, don't think it will make a difference in layoff scenario though

I've sold plenty of Reclast and know fully what I am talking about. I'm the rep up front that you are chasing and trying to catch. Keep trying, but it will never happen as I continue to run circles around you.

There is nothing special about you or any Reclast rep that another rep couldn't learn (and will after you are laid off on April 1st) in a very short amount of time. A good FLM and BRM will bring them up to speed and the ship will keep sailing while you are left on the dock.

Hey Einstein, there aren't going to be any more BRM's. All the BRM's are being put into a pool with LTC KAMs and PKAMS so the person that you get may no nothing about Reclast.
The clock is ticking on Reclast and unless you know what you are doing your time will run out
