despite erasing the prior posting, everyone is still able to follow the thread....

everyone, for the past 20 years, has criticized JL, yet he was the only one who was able to protect the Germans from themselves, and promote expansion into the US market. With him gone, they have no one to believe in, so they will rely on their intuition and dislike of Americans. 5% market share in 40 years? Over the past 10 years, they have gutted so many loyal Bio people, in the hopes that others-who have no experience in selling in extreme circumstances (extreme small market share, foreign manufacturer)- would be able to do a better job. Good luck, new management

Spot on! The leadership here in the US has always fallen for promises and pay extraordinary guarantees for people who don't produce. Partly why I left. Watched my territory get carved up for promises with guarantees. Only to watch those reps leave when the guarantee was up. I spent 7 years there. Grew my business to a million. I left for greener pastures and haven't looked back. There have been 7 or more reps through that territory during and since. All got nice guarantees I'm sure. Yes the Germans hate this market and the Americans. But what do they care? They get their money. They use the Americans as distributors. They get money no matter what.

From zero with no clinicals? Fuck off. Comparing that to the big 3 is about a 6 million territory. You ever built a CRM territory from nothing with a no name company? I doubt you could.

They are right. That's a tough road to haul with Bio and that $1million territory pays more than a $5million dollar territory with the holier than thou MDT AND their quality of life it 99% better than with MDT's light bulb management style.

I have nothing but the highest respect for someone who has successfully represented Bio in the market...exactly for the reasons you gave, no help (or even respect from the company), you are on your own. For the past 5-8 years, the company has been your worst nightmare, stars in their eyes about all the big name players they can bring into your area, now that you have it producing...no loyalty to the people that gave them believability, finally.
