Non profits getting into generics manufacturing

If this works, then "innovation" can't be far off- do all those million dollar per year execs provide value to the patient?

"There lies the rub"
This non-profit business model simply does not work. The working-class need a multi-million dollar inspiration like me to drive their success. - Davey R.

I think non-profits could easily become serious competition... here are some reasons:

1, Employees could be retained for their entire careers; no periodic downsizing to pay a dividend.
2. Inefficient investments aimed to please Wall Street only could be eliminated.
3. With a more flexible workforce (due to caps on annual pay), cross-training could leverage workforce.
4. Academics could be invited on board for sabbaticals.
5. No glitzy DTC ads necessary as reputation alone would sell.
6. Operating model based on efficacy and safety, not profitability= better medicine!
7. Lower costs and prices = preference by Insurance cos, large hospitals, govt programs.
8. No high pressure sales tactics due to lower costs = no billion dollar lawsuits for fraud.
9. Reputation for efficacy and safety will draw the best scientific and marketing talent. Ethics sells.
10. No six sigma necessary, huge cost savings due to inefficient, counterproductive meetings.
