I'm interviewing for a position and wanted to know more about this non-compete. Do they take legal action if you leave to work for another medical device/equipment company? Also I shot sold my house and my credit took a hit - is a credit low credit score a deal breaker ?

As far as the non-compete, you would have to leave the company and go to a med device company that sells the same type of products that you sold, therefore, giving you an advantage and allowing you to easily take business away and harm the company.

Credit shouldn't be a deal breaker.

they will go after you for the noncompete - I know from personal experience

don't worry about the credit - the company can always guarantee your corporate card if they want you

I have had first hand experience with the non-compete. It's not just the products, it's the relationships and territory that is involved. It is never the same for any two people. Some they go after, some they don't.
I also know for a fact that credit can keep you from getting an offer. They wouldn't run the credit check if it didn't mean anything. If you can't keep your personal business in order, they feel you aren't a good risk to employ.
